Aims and Scope

The Journal of the Society of Naval Architects of Korea provides a forum for engineers and scientists from a wide variety of disciplines to present and discuss various phenomena in the utilization and preservation of ocean environment. Topics include, but are not limited to: marine hydrodynamics; structural mechanics; marine propulsion system; design methodology and practice; production technology; system dynamics and control; marine equipment technology; materials science; underwater acoustics; satellite observations; and information technology related to ship and marine systems; ocean energy systems; marine environmental engineering; maritime safety engineering; polar and arctic engineering; coastal and port engineering; aqua-cultural engineering; subsea engineering; and specialized watercraft engineering.

General Information

The official title of this journal is ‘Journal of the Society of Naval Architects of Korea,’ abbreviated to ‘JSNAK,’ and the ISO abbreviation is ‘J. Soc. Nav. Archit. Korea.’ The journal, first established in 1964, accepts original research articles, case reports, and other invited papers.

The journal is online only and published every other month in February,April, June, August, October and December of each year.
